Las Vegas, Nev. – Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement after the Supreme Court’s decision in Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, which struck down President Donald Trump’s blanket tariffs on America’s trading partners.
“I welcome today’s Supreme Court decision to strike down President Trump’s reckless blanket tariffs. Over the past twelve months, Trump’s trade policies have led to rising costs of food, housing, and fuel while hardworking families suffered. Our businesses, large and small, have felt the squeeze of rising prices, particularly those reliant on tourism. Unfortunately, President Trump is already looking for new ways to levy harmful tariffs on the American people and businesses.”
