Reno, Nev. – Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) toured the new Truckee Meadows Fire Station and met with the Fire Chief Charles Moore and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) firefighters to listen to their concerns and discuss her recent partnership with Nevada fire departments to encourage fire season preparedness.
“Nevada firefighters’ dedication to their jobs is unmatched and their courage to run towards danger saves lives every day,” said Cortez Masto. “I am glad to have met with our Truckee Meadows firefighters today and toured one of Reno’s newest fire stations. I am thrilled to have partnered with them to encourage all Nevadans to take precautionary measures to stay safe during fire season and help prevent wildfires. I will continue to fight in Congress to ensure that our firefighters have the resources they need to help keep Nevadans safe and perform the lifesaving work that is done at fire stations like this one every day.”
