Las Vegas, Nev. – Today, U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) announced $32,926,105 for the state’s Child Care and Development Block Grant to help ensure Nevada families have child care options during this public health crisis. These funds were appropriated as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act recently passed by Congress, and supported by both Senators, and will provide assistance to child care providers throughout Nevada.
“Nevada’s essential employees, health care providers and first responders are working tirelessly to safeguard our communities,” said the Senators. “This funding will help make sure that our frontline workers with children continue to have access to quality child care throughout the coronavirus pandemic. We’ll continue to fight to give all Nevadans working during this unprecedented public health emergency the resources and peace of mind they need to protect their families, do their jobs, and save lives.”
