Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement applauding the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for disbursing over $13 million in grant money to help support critical health services for Nevada’s seniors and low-income families.
“I am thankful for the Department of Health and Human Services’ support in bringing more federal funding to Nevada programs that provide affordable health care and quality services to our state’s most vulnerable patients. These funds will improve the quality of life for Nevadans throughout the state by supporting local community health centers and programs to educate seniors on how to protect themselves from Medicare fraud. I will continue to work in the Senate to secure critical investments that keep our low-income families, children and seniors healthy.”
