Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) released the following statement after the Supreme Court’s decision in Trump v. Barbara, which found that President Trump’s Executive Order outlawing birthright citizenship was unconstitutional:
“Today, the Supreme Court upheld a fundamental American value: if you’re born in the United States, you’re an American citizen. There is no question – birthright citizenship has been and will continue to be a part of our Constitution. It’s past time for the attacks on our nation’s core ideals to end.”
