No, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits will not be affected by the shutdown, and you will <\/span>still <\/span>continue<\/span> to receive benefits and\/or care. Social Security w<\/span>ill continue to process claims, appeals, and benefits during the shutdown, but some services may be delayed. <\/span><\/p>\n

Federal employees will need to follow the guidance of their employing agency. Unfortunately, no. The tour guides and visitor centers of federal government buildings are considered non-essential and will be closed during a shutdown.
